CONSTRUCTION - This small lacy kerchief is knit from end to end. Icord edges create the framework and stabilize the open, lacy fabric.
TECHNIQUES TO TRY - Icord edges and simple lace (YO’s, P2TOG’s, K2TOG’s and SSK’s)
SIZES - One size (this can easily be modified by knitting more or less, depending on your preferred measurements).
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS -
Wingspan: 31” 77.5 cm
Depth: 9.5” 24 cm
GAUGE - Lace stitch: 24 stitches by 28 rows in 4” 10 cm using US size 4 3.5 mm needles, knit flat, measured after blocking.
YARN - Any fingering weight yarn. Warm weather fibres such as cotton, linen or silk would be best.
